Outplanting at Montgomery Blair High School

Recently planted utility adapted trees at Blair Montgomery School, Silver Springs, MD are more adapted to urban utility environments, will help prevent future power outages, and live more productive and healthy lives than the existing sycamore that were removed.

79 Sycamore trees beneath high tension lines at Blair Montgomery High School were removed by PEPCO, a PHI Company.

USNA and USDA Forest Service worked together to redesign and replant the site with smaller, urban adaptable trees.

Sycamores were replaced by Powertree cultivars.. Photo
